530d owners, please advise: How does your car
Hi Johan,
My 530d spins the back end pretty easily on wet roads if you open the throttle quickly. The traction control light flashes like crazy but you can still feel the rear step slighlty out of line. It's the effect of that huge wave of torque kicking in at low revs.
I've found the handling to be pretty twitchy in the wet and can certainly feel more tramlining on the 18" 124 alloys when it's wet.
And I still want a 535d Sport!
You can NEVER have too much power

You certainly don't need to floor it to trigger the DSC in the wet.
I'm running on 17" 122s (245/45) and I have a healthy respect for this car in the wet, and the dry for that matter.!
That said, I've never pushed this car hard, this is my first auto and I enjoy the relaxed driving style.

[QUOTE]I am just wondering about this cause I currently drive a tuned 525d, of which the power output is almost the same of a 530d. After tuning it I noticed that I have to be careful not to floor the gas pedal when accelerating on wet roads. If I do so I feel the back of the car drifting a bit and the stabilization program kicking in.
So now I am wondering why this is happening, maybe I have too much torque for wet roads now and if so then the 530d should have the same problem since it has even more torque or maybe my stabilization program is inadequate since it expects less power from the engine, if this is true then it might be possible that the 530d uses other settings for the stabilization program.
Please let me know what you think as I am really curious to why this is happening.[QUOTE]
who is tuned by and what power is it putting out?
