Hi, new member, looking fir more brains than i have. We got our son a wonderful 530D 07 model. Been a great car, except seller went on a little too much about the state of the battery, hiw it doesnt like short runs, goes flat quick, explained way too much about how to jump start it etc etc. Now in hindsight we see why. It has a parasitic drain. I bought him a new battery, initialy thinking that would be what it was, like the seller said. Even with $500 battery it was a cheap car at $7000. Well hasnt improved anything. Now we are looking at getting the roadworthy to transfer the rego ( neat one TUF530). I noticed the drivers side outer halo wasnt working. Found wiring inside headlight shedding its insulation, found im not the only one. Fixed both headlights. One halo still not working. Plugged the passenger headlight with both halos working, into drivers side and again outer halo not working. So headlight wiring and bulb eliminated. Where would i find the module that control's the headlights. Could that be the cause of my parasitic drain or just a coincidence. Or where should i look for the drain once i fix halo. Was thinking i could just connect the inner halo to the outer halo to get through the roadworthy to buy me some time to repair properly. Dont really want to spend BMW $$$ on finding the drain as it could take ages. Any advice gratefully received. Cheers.

Have you actually verified you have a parasitic drain? Does your car not go to sleep?
