Hi Guys

Always been a massive BMW fan and for years ive wanted a 5 series m sport. Finally bought a 2006 530d last week and wow what a car it is, i absolutely love it.

My issue is that im struggling to average over 30mpg even when driving like a grandma! cruising steady on the motorway i got it up to 31.7 but those figures are still way off the manufacturers average consumption.

Can anyone please recommend anything i can do to the car to get more mpg out of it?

it is due a service soon so what are the main things i need to get serviced/replaced that would help?
