Are they run-flats though?
I still can't find it on the web-site, either from the configurator or the prices/specs->Options!? What am I missing?

Your not missing anything. BMW have only added it to the options list. From my experience they take longer to update the configurator. I think the wheels are identical to the current M3's.

Let us know how they ride...
I'm confused now - you said they were on the web site?
I can see why you're confused now. Just looked at the web site and they're not mentioned any more. They were under the "Sport" section of optional extras next to HG Shadow line. They definately do them as I have ordered a set at an extra ?780.00
I have exactly the same case. But probably it happens after highway driving once the autobox has readjusted to a different tempo of driving.

I think the 530d is almost? a great package, however I have experienced the following problems/hangups with mine and wondered whether any fellow drivers had also. By the way the car was purchased from my main BMW dealer's showroom back in Sept 2003: -
1.) Creaking seats and windows (windows stop creaking when lowered)
2.) Cruise Control - When in your in normal auto mode on the motorway (freeway) and you increase speed the car changes down a gear in a very jerky manor. The only way to eradicate this is to leave it in 6th in manual mode.
3.) Driving downhill the autobox keeps changing down as if to slow you down. Autos usually coast!
4.) High wind noise from windscreen (windshield) at around 70mph plus.
5.) Walk outside your house to your car and find magic bootlid wide open (keys in pocket of course, not very secure but very funny) done it at Mcdonalds as well.
6.) Cheap mat finish on wheels (124)
7.) Standard seats not very supportive at all.
8.) Standard heater controls have no place in a car of this class. BMW have been extremely mean not fitting the air con advanced as std. The one series system isn't this cheap looking.
9.) Cup holders - crap. Had one replaced already.
10.) When the heated rear window is being used the radio crackles.
I don't believe I'm being perdantic but every time I experience anu of the above I keep thinking of my ?39,000 ($70,000) sitting in BMW's bank account.
Still looking forward to 535d sport though!

1. Starting to get a few creaks myself now
2. Yep, VERY annoying
3. I like it this way.
4. Can't say I suffer with that, I guess it's whatever you're used to.
5. Only did that once, fortunately nothing of value in there
6.
7. Glad I mortgaged my soul for the comfort seats
8. Agreed, Std a/c has no place on car like this
9. Never had a problem with them
10. Doesn't happen on mine.

2. manual so no that problem with cruise. Thou if you let pedal up and same time engage cruise it suddenly pull more speed
3. manual
4. no problem
5. ones windows were down but possibly button was pushed in pocket.
6. no problem
7. no problem
8. no problem
9. no have
10. no problem
Lately I have started to hear "ticking" right front of the car when driving constant speed with very light foot. If I lift pedal or push down it disappears, but again when speed is constant and engine does not have to make much work, the ticking is back.
Have to ask this when I go to service.

Indeed - I'm aware they're tweaking some configuration/options at any moment. I love the wheels, definitely reminded me of current M3.
Thanks for the message. They're definately quoted as 19" wheels on my order form and if you look up: -
http://zoouz.free.fr/Wheels/style/style_172.htm
It states the sizes of wheels and tyres
Cheers

Indeed - the configurator has been updated too and it says 19" and run-flats...
I wonder which brand of RFs they are? Couldn't find a listing for a RF of those sizes...
