530d excessive smoke

Hi there,
My 2004 530d has had a couple of problems, I think caused by excessive smoke.
The particulate filter needed replacing - the car started going very slowly and wouldn't rev above 1500 rpm - albeit 10000 miles early, so I had another fitted. I got this 2nd hand myself, and the garage that fitted said that the replacement looked fine (from a 20000 mile crashed one). It lasted for a couple of weeks of driving, and same thing again, but the car would drive fine with the exhaust disconnected. Being a bit short of cash, and a new particulate filter is ?1000 + vat, I got the middle drilled out of the filter to see how things went. The car drives fine, but if I stomp on the accelerator, a cloud of smoke comes out the back. It's not exactly black smoke, and seems more like unburnt diesel. It leaves an oily residue on the rear of the car after a while.
My theory is that the 2nd filter clogged up very quickly due to the excess smoke, and this would keep happening if I don't solve the smoke issue.
I need a solution to this as I know that this fix is only temporary and could be just about anything.
Any ideas what the cause could be?

My Ride: 525d LCI - xenon, tv function,grey dakota leather,titanium silver,244 radial spokes.
My 525d has been driven 18,000kms and farts out a small cloud of black smoke on any event of sudden acceleration or downshift.
It really is a big turn off, so i addressed this with the dealership. The previous time my car went in for service they told me there could be 2 reasons: Impure diesel or Oil leakage in the turbo charger. The indian fuel quality is not the best but i do fill up from a reliable gas station so i refused the claim of impure fuel. Hence they changed the entire turbo charger assembly.
However, the problem doesn't seem to get solved. I spoke with my service chap and he said due to idling in traffic the car is running on a rich fuel mixture so i should floor it more often to get the unburnt fuel out. But although i floor it pretty often the smoke does not completly go!
