where did you get that price flavio?
From the Dutch Tuningbox distributor Holland Java:
http://www-shop.holland-java.nl/?search_pr...bgroup=&x=0&y=0
Oh i see they deliver parts to a company that belongs to a friend of mine, I;ll ask him about it. BTW they don't really advertise it on the website.... strange
Maybe you can get a nice discount! For 500 Euro's I am tempted to get one.
Hi,

Just contact them directly. Go to their site http://www.tuningbox.com
I payed on delivery
As i said i was very, very skeptical. Now i am totally sold. I have just came home fast (empty highway)
I did it exactly because "for ?500 what the heck i will give it a go". I am posting this because of my nice surprise!

3.0i has just been 'revised' - you may be thinking of the twin-turbo 535i (Turbo 3.0). The 2.5d definitely needs and update but so does the 535d! (Lighter block for sure...)

they might produce a lighter engine and keep the power the same, i wouldnt be too surprised if they did that mate

great STUFF !!! now try to warm up the tires a bit (for better grip), by driving for about 30 km... or if its very cold then do 3-4 runs from 0 to 100 to 0 again using your brakes to warm up the tires. The thing is dont brake too hard or youl wear out your tyres...

Once the tyres are warm do the same without the dsc and maybe just maybe you can get it down to 7seconds ...

ohhh sorry i wasnt meant to tell you that
have you tried this

Quite likely - but the overall characteristics will be improved even if the headline figures (272PS/560Nm) don't...

well what i know is that we can expect 295bhp and 590nm at 1780rpm, the question is whether this will be implemented with the new lightweight engine, or whether they will wait to overhaul it potentially as late as 2009

Nova Invicta is quite correct the 530d has just been upgraded.
Since when has the 3.0i engine been diesel? Read Nova's comment slowly
Quite right, if my memory serves me correctly,

530i - recently upgraded from 231bhp to 258bhp
530d - recently upgraded from 218bhp to 231bhp
525i - recently upgraded from 192bhp to 218bhp
545i - upgraded to 550i

leaving

525d (177bhp) Needs upgrading
520d (163bhp) Recently introduced (UK Market)
523i (174bhp) Entry Level Petrol (UK Market)
540i (306bhp) (UK Market)
535d (272bhp) (Who needs more than this!, although rumours of upgrade all the same)
M5 - (507bhp) Far too underpowered, yeah definatly!

Facts and figures from BMW UK

That's spot on. I think the M5 needs a couple of turbo's - one per bank

My guess is the 525d will receive 185bhp-ish and the 535d will receive the lighter block with maybe a mild tune but better characteristics...

We're talking factory output here. The lighter block and better injectors will allow even higher (tuned) output than current 525d and better handling...

of course, if you start from a higher bhp, then once you have tuned it the result will also be higher

but colejl, there is an exception. I spoke to kelleners about chip-tuning of the new 530d (231bhp part)
and they said that at best with a chip you can achieve the results of the older generation 530d (218bhp)...
Why? because the lighter manifold simply cannot take the pressure of such a high output... so here a higher engine output does not nevessarily mean higher tuned output
