welcome. well the option that ebmcs03 suggested is one thing.. haha. another option would be to go with a ecu remap, like many members here. search for threads with "dms remap" or "chippeduk" or anything. those are the most popular to go with for diesels i believe. enjoy the forums.

I've got a DMS remap on my 530d and that really seems to make a difference to the way the car drives, it's much more responsive than before. DMS aren't cheap but they do include a warranty in the price - I've already taken advantage of having a free reinstallation of the remap after a Progman update wiped the DMS settings.

Depending on where abouts you are geographically in London Try out B&W Chiptune based in Hounslow - they do Live remaps specific to your car. Call Jason on 0208 570 3600 he will talk you through the capabilities of his mapping. He is reasonable too and knows what he is doing.

Tell him I sent you (Harv) he knows me well.

Hi Mate,

The car came already remapped by B&W Chiptune but I want to get it mapped again......i don't think I am getting the sort of economy a 530d should return.

serious, well try paul at M Style, trust me, it will be just that much more noticable.

I get excellent economy, truly, like last to last sunday, went to Notts, then back to london , and then back to Birmingham mideweek, all in one tank, i did exactly 578miles and still had diesil left, possibley another 70-80 miles, howeevr come off the mototrwa too long and that will drop, especailly if you use the turbo band.

Did u see the mpg pic i put up then

Yes saw that - very impressive and seems almost impossible for me to get that figure in mine! I get about 450 - 470 max and that?s well into reserve with about 20miles left.

What sort of ball-park figure are the M-Style guys charging for remaps?

Thanks
