My pull down tray has a slot for a reflector triangle. The car didn't come with it. Anyone else get one?

I know it's missing because the instructions for reflector placement are embossed on the tray.

I think that in the States you don't get it.
Here in Europe it comes with the car.

Yep.
Tuga is right.
In Europe it's required for all cars, so new cars are getting delivered with it allready.
For the US you have to buy it (strange, I know).

If you plan ED you get a first aid kit and warning triangle, but they take it out of the car at the VPC. So you should take it out before drop off...

I remember someone saying that you can get one that fits at Pep Boys. They did mention two sizes, but one fit.

jimbo, i'm quite sure it doesn't come with the car...at least for the states. it's in the accessories brochure page 37, item c and it called warning triangle. part no.: 82 11 1 466 578 and we have to pay $26 for that

Iceman: I think we infidels in the US are finally getting the firstaid kit. It was in mine (non-ED) and I've heard that many others here also got theirs. Don't know when it started.

That's good, because it doesn't hurt having it. there might be a situation where you will be happy that there is a first aid kit in your car (in the garage ).

I now have 2 medic kits, one from ED and the other from redelivery.

I guess one is for me and the other is for the wife.

The German one seems to be more advanced. Has a load of bandages (I guess you going to need them if you have an accident on the autobahn)

To be honest:

When you have an accident on the Autobahn the paramedics will be there in about five minutes (average). Accidents on highways have the highest priority for police and ambulances. Sometimes the life flight helicopter is at the scene earlier than the police or the ambulance.
I wouldn't try to pull someone out of a car or put bandages on him when the car isn't on fire or he is breathing. Just in case he isn't breathing anymore or the car is burning I would pull him out. I've seen a lot of accidents happening right in front of me on the Autobahn and allways felt safer to wait for the experts.
But who knows, maybe one day I am doing something stupid at home and then I will be very happy to have the first aid kit out in the car.

It definately doesn't hurt having it, but in 16 years of driving on German roads I have never used it.

Mine came with the first aid kit, and I took Delivery Apr 08...

I find it very useful for bandaging myself up on the way to the hospital when I'm doing a 'honey do' project for my wife. I figure if I keep getting injured then she'll quit asking me (sooner or later)
