Hi everyoe. Just picked up me first BMW (second hand 2004 525d) so go easy on me.


This may be a stupid question but .....

When I turn the key in the ignition all the lights come on (as with most cars). After a few seconds they all go out except for the engine management light (which is orange). When I turn the key further and start the engine the orange light goes off. Should I be worried that the light does not go out with the rest of them?

 

welcome and congrats on your 525d. dont worry about the engine light staying on longer than the other lights before starting the engine. enjoy the forums.
