...almost every exec had a company car as part of the overal salary package. If that hasn't changed, the 520d would be a prime choice...
Can't be much of an "Exec". Uh...oh... I feel the debadge discussion coming on...

By autumn 2007 around 40% of all BMW Group
new cars sales in Europe with
maximum CO2 emission of 140g / km.

And 100% of all Bmw's sold in USA will have more than 200g /km

Is your point that BMW should start selling the 1 Series in the USA?

You have to wonder who designed that plugly lump 'o steel. Did they use an etchasketch?

The Ford beside it isn't much better...

No problemo! I was probably asking for it by writing "exec" And every company's lease policy is different, especially from country to country. I'm just glad they haven't totally strangled our company car scheme yet - its the best car in the world: free fuel, service, tyres, insurance...

Would be interesting to see if the US would go for a 200ps 4cyl 523d model due to the stict laws over there in certain regions/cities regarding emissions etc. Or would that be too much of a leap from the petrol V8s and straight 6s?
