My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

Did today drive 200 km's on high- and freeways.
Because it was minus 7 C and it snowed a bit, the roads where like ice.
I drove very easily with the cruise control on, with a average speed of about 90 km/h.
The consumption was only 5,3 liters of diesel / 100 km.
That's nothing for a 1600 kg car with a automatic transmission.

That's 53.3 MPG, nice going. You have to laugh at the fools that bought a Toyota Prius (ugly car of the year nominee) when they could do better for the environment with a Bimmer.

A Toyota Prius up against a 520d on a real world road test. The 520d beats the Prius by quite a lot.

It absolutely does not look as sexy as _any_ BMW I will agree with that. But for the ~60k miles I owned it I averaged 52 mpg. There are few petrol/gasoline passenger cars that can do that. In comparison I'm averaging 20 mpg in the 550.
