Early E60's had dodgy door seals that creaked like they were made of wood! There's a TSB about it and the seals are replaced of a different material. Search this forum and you'll find hundreds of posts!!!

Getting about 40mpg on mixed driving over the first 2500 miles in the 520d Touring LCI Auto. Pretty pleased with that.

Wouldnt say the 530d i used to have was worth the extra 6k over the 520d. As for it being underpowered , nah.. its fine.
