This engine is just a M54B25 with I think a shorter stroke, in order to comply with Thai tax laws. BMW has been making 2.4 version of it's 2.5 straight 6 for the Thai market since the early 90's.

but why do i recieve only E39's pics, when i search google images for 540i?
