'old' 530d engine (218PS) should be moved to 'no longer in production' too - replaced with 231PS...

525d and 535d about to have the same fate soon

They also missed the 540i's engine, as well as the Thai-market only 2.4 litre.

as far as i know is the 540i since E39 no longer available

306ps 540i is available in the UK for sure... About to be replaced with the 535i

I never knew there was a 2.4 engine?? Whats the spec on this engine?

Ask member 525iSE abt this. Spec is as follows:


Cylinders/valves 6/4

Capacity in ccm 2,394

Stroke/bore in mm 75.0/84.0

Max. output in kW at 1/min 140/6,000

Max. torque in Nm at 1/min 235/3,500.

This engine is just a M54B25 with I think a shorter stroke, in order to comply with Thai tax laws. BMW has been making 2.4 version of it's 2.5 straight 6 for the Thai market since the early 90's.
