45K Miles Spark Plug Change - Dealer Job
Not sure but I had to convince my SA that in my car the spark plugs need to be changed at 45K as it is in the maintenance manual and should be done at the part of maintenance plan for free . He actually protested and said that it is done at 60K when the car is out of the maintenance plan etc. He kind of reluctantly agreed when I pointed him the notes in the book. Did anyone face this and I dont understand why??

From my understanding, the e60 535i is supposed to have it's spark plugs changed at 45k, not 60k. I think the SA is trying to pull your leg.

When my car hit 45k the dealer told me they were changing them when I had the car in for service. I would escalate this to the GM, the SA id clueless!

60k was the standard for the non-turbo e60s, There are many reports of dealership service advisors not knowing the different interval for the N54. Mine was up on the 45k change, mentioned it before I had to, and there was no problem. I took the service manual with me on that visit in case there was.
