4 Interior Orange LEDs

anyone notice there are 4 tiny orange LEDs on the roof of their 08 5 series??? 2 are located in the front beside the interior light button and 2 are located beside each reading lamp. what is the purpose of these lights? attached is a pic.

I think theyre just to add a little ambient light in the cabin at night. I have them in my map pockets in the doors also.

Ambient lighting, As i drive in the dark alot of the time I love the way I don't need to hit the spots to find things, every car should have this sort of interior glow

oh wow, i didn't know these lil LEDs provided some glow in the interior. interesting. hehe... i should check this out next time for some night driving.

The lights add that extra touch and are useful to find stuff in the cubby holes...near the shifter.
BTW- all have the overhead ambient lighting, but only cars equipped with the Prem Pkg have leds in the doors.
