Hi All
Thought I'd let you all know that after an update at my local dealer for a few bits and bobs it appears I now have 3D Sat Nav or 'Perspective' as the nav calls it. See attached picture. The bits on the left hand side of the picture are for: -
1. Turning Sat Nav sound on and off
2. Cancel Guidance but keep map
3. Move centre of map whilst still being guided. I.e, have look at where you are going - a bit like selecting your destination to start guidance.
4. No Idea what the I is for. Sounds like Information to me!
5. Type of view - North, Car or Perspective
6. Type of route - fast, motorway etc
7. Traffic Info I think
I have to admit, it's not bad at all.
Also, the little A for Automatic AirFlow has gone from the very bottom of the screen.
Don't know what version number I have just had put on but will hopefully find out tomorrow.
Cheers
Fraser

Hi Fraser
Belated welcome aboard!
Lucky you to get the software update! You'll now have to sit in your car for the next 24 hours without taking a pee or eating or sleeping, so that you tell us all about the features, good and bad, and of course the BUGS!!!!! Yikes!!!
All the Best

I think somewhere someone said it was CIP 16.2 that had the perspective view... In any case, 16.2 is available in the UK now and this package does have updates for the E60 (whereas 16.1 did not).

WOW! You need the NAV to get you to the Golden Arches???????
Now there's a thought..... maybe they'll add all the fast food restaurants to the DVD NAV data....

My NAV has the perspective also. I dunno if you have "weather radio" but here in the US, we do and supposedly, the sky will change to whatever the weather is where you are at.
I'll have to wait and see about this as the weather channels don't exist in Europe so my sky was always sunny.
You have a lot more icons on the lower bar under th NAV than I do! I wonder what they all mean?

Hi
They are basically Radio stuff
TP - Traffic Programming
TMC - Traffic Management
Mobile Phone Signal & SMS Icon (I have Professional Dual Band Phone)
Date - replaced by time of arrival at destination
Time
That's about it I think.
Thanks
