I love that sound, because it really makes me wear the seatbelt.
I haven't done that in my previous non-BMW's.

You know what?
I think I'm counting the chime in my car later today.

Last I counted, it was 38 ...... *just*kidding*

One of the first things I do when I get in the car is put on the belt,
so I don't really hear all the chimes.

Don't get me wrong, I DO wear my seatbelt when driving further than 5 miles. But I live in a small town, and I am definitely not gonna wear my seatbelt when driving at 20mph to the shop a block away!

Why be choosy? Just wear the thing regardless of your destination or intentions...

Oh and I can just bet that you guys that so diligently wear your seatbelts, also drive EXACTLY at the prescribed speed limit for your own safety!

you might as well walk or take a bike ride - save on some gas
hard to carry all the grociery bags back home though

My seatbelt alarm chimes exactly 37 times before going silent. Anyone know why BMW would decide on such an odd number of chimes? Why not make it 30 or 40?

PS: I had it "silenced" by my service agent...
I've been short changed!!! I've just counted mine (I know....sad!) and I've only got 30. Must give the SA a call to book it in for the missing 7
