My Ride: 530d Sport,6spd Manual, Carbon Black, Black Leather, Electric Seats, Visability Package.
I went from a 330i Sport to a 50d Sport purely for more room and the more economical diesel.

Went from 330i to 535d. Wanted power, space and economy. Great combination and great car

My Ride: '05 545i Step w/ NAV
330i 5 speed to 545i Step.
I really wanted to stick with a manual I just felt that resale on a 5 series with manual would be miserable. As for reasons why:
1. Rear seat room
2. The engine
3. The trunk space
4. The engine

My Ride: E60 530i Sport, Carbon Black, Grey Leather, Maple Wood, Prof Sat Nav, Bluetooth, CD Changer, Sun Roof, M Spolier and Logic 7 Prof Hifi
i went from a 2004 320 sports coupe to the 2005 530i sports ..... and from silver to Carbon black......
coupe was lovely but the 5 series is just the dogs!!!!!! I even enjoy polishing it!!

My Ride: Current - 330 Sport Topaz Blue, Grey Leather, HK HIFI...lost interest!!
Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.
Looking like the space factor is the main mover for most of you ex 3 ers....contemplated the E90 for about 10secs and then i realised that it could only be the E60. The new twin turbo D and its awsome stats helped as did the test drive.

I have just gone from a 3-year old 330d Touring to an E60 525d Sport Touring. Both autos.
With the constant upgrading by BMW I now have a car that is considerably bigger than my old one (which the family love), that has virtually the same power and weight, has more torque and should be more economical once it is run in.
A no-brainer especially as I was able to take the car off the showroom floor at a decent discount and they took care of the finance on the old.

My Ride: 2005 545i with everything
I upgraded from a 2003 325i to a 2005 545i 
main reasons:
Space/room
Power/luxury
better stereo (sounds stupid but the factory stereo in the E46 325i is just pathetic)
plus I could afford it now
