I've gotten 31 mpg for highway driving after resetting the ave. fuel consumption thing on the highway. This is off a 545 on LA freeways and over a stretch of 30 miles on 5 different freeways.

My 530d gets around 55mpg on the run....
and around 28 in town...
that's using google to do the math....
