Just to let you guys know our E60's are run throught what BMW calls CBS data. Earlier model oil changes would be set off from 12,000-15,000 miles depending on your driving. Also earlier models the microfilter would be changed with every oil change and Inspection 1,2. Now these NEWER BMW models are run through CBS data. Now every maintenance item is set off by mileage/time. Just becuase you hit 30,000 miles doesnt mean you'll get an oil change. There is a service done at 30,000 which consits of just an overall check of the vehicle. Ask your advisor to go over with the KEY READER with you. It specifically tells you what services will be due (i.e miles/months till next service) hope this helps

My car has had 2 oil changes already... I was just surprised that at 30K miles (which other manufacturers mark as major service milestone) that my oil would not even be changed.

At this point, I would like to change the oil myself (or have an independent BMW garage do it for me).
I don?t get it. Your car told you to go for a specific service, you made an appointment, and then the dealer didn?t do it?
