My Ride: Bmw 530d 2004
Just noticed that 3 of 6 LEDs in the headlight eyebrow are dead. Shouldn't they last almost forever?
I know the eyebrow led mods, but is that really the only way to fix it, cut some parts off etc...?

edit: Now after some investigation it seems that I have to cut the bas*ard out and mod it.

Went back to car to check do I need 3mm or 5mm LEDs and whaddya know! They work again! 
Strange... maybe there was some humidity that caused it.

I had a similar issue with my eyebrows. 3 out of 6 LEDs. The eyebrow will show and the next 2 closest to the LED. It would come on and off on occasion. Two options. Take them out and replace the LEDs or resolder them. Option 2, replace the headlight.
What I did was buy John's (brabusw209amg) headlights with the white eyebrow mod and change out my set with red LEDs.

Wasn't there an SIB out for an eyeborw fix, as some models eyebrows did not work and required a SW update to get them to work.....

TT Electronics/Optek Technology makes some. So does Vishay, Cree, and Fairchild.
There are lots to choose from on digikey.
