2E8E code after replacing IBS
08 535xi
I replaced IBS (negatives cable), and cleared codes. After 5 minutes or so the code 2E8E reports again.
has anyone ever had this problem?
does IBS need to be coded?

So I checked all the connections (the only connection via a plug). I measured the red wire 12.5v and even hardwired around the plug bypassing it. I checked the alternator data cable and measured 10-11v. Tried swapping IBS wires just in case the adapter was wired wrong. To no avail I wasn’t able to get the 2E8B to clear. I have run out of ideas as to what could be causing this.

We shall see what it is, 2 bad IBS's .... that would be some real BS I would not want. At least FCP Euro has lifetime replacement.
Anyways, I still think it has something to do with wiring, only got this message after a waterpump r&r.
I don't have a lift or area I can do any work, so it's going into a local shop where it can be inspected better.
I'll update what the solution was when I get it back.
