After 28 days of my car being at the shop my car is still not how it should be...the headlights werent properly put in and since it was raining last night my lights were fogging up and then today in the morning my car wouldnt start and had to use jumper cables..what could be the cause of all this happening

did rain somehow mess with the battery?

Did you check for water in the battery compartment?

It is possible, I would drive it on the highway for at least an hour to charge up the battery. Cold weather might be a factor also specially if it has not been driven for a month.

+1 cold weather reduces battery life and your battery may very well be dead.
These batteries don't like sitting without a charge for long periods....I think the acid inside the battery attacks the plates...which reduces battery efficiency

If there wasn't rain in battery compartment it's most likely not water issue draining battery. Put a battery tender on it while it sits at night. Make sure the eye of the battery isn't yellow. If so it won't hold up long. If you charge it overnight and it becomes green you're good to go. If after that it still loses charge you have other electrical issues. As far as the lights 'fogging' it doesnt mean they're not put in right. It means your housing isn't sealed properly. You may have to take them out and check the housing for bad seals/cracks. Do you mind elaborating on why it was in the shop in the first place so I can have an idea?

You could have an electrical problem then. Do the battery thing i posted above. A battery tender is about $20 at walmart. Make sure after you let it charge for at least 24 hours the eye is green and not yellow. If it's green and the tender never reaches fully charged (after several days of constant charging, you most likely have a dead cell and eventually it will need replaced but not immediately. If you have a warranty just get a new battery. Dealer will replace no questions asked.
