Good day,
New to the forum and ran a number of search parameters but I am failing to get a definitive answer. I have a 2005 545i sport and found a winter wheel/tire combo locally for sale which were on a 745i.
tire/wheel size is 235/55R 17. One of the nearly relevant threads I found was THIS THREAD.
Thoughts / opinions?

What are the offsets? The ones that I have are 17" ET 20 (recommended by Tire Rack). The recommended tire size on the 5's are 225 50 17.
To corroborate, Tire Rack also recommends 225/50R17, the tires I am looking to buy are 235/55R 17. As you said, it probably comes down to what the difference is in the offset (if any).
