Hey guys. I just got a 2010 e60. I got a great deal on the car due to the new body being out already. I have about 390 miles on the car. Its a 550i with the Msport package. My problem is that the front suspension knocks when I go over bumps at a slower speed. Now I've been driving bimmers for about ten years and have never heard anything like the sound that I am hearing. I have heard some old American cars knock over bumps but those were all very old cars with worn out controll arm bushings. I took the car to the dealer last week and they replaced the a=arms and tie rods and the knocking didnt go away. This week will be the second time since I got the car that it will be in the shop and it only has about 400 miles. Can anyone let me know if they are aware of any problems like mine and what to do to fix it. Thanks GG

That sucks and is not normal. My 2009 550i Sport does not do that. Take your ride to a different dealer.

First thought that came to mind was steering rack problembut your car is new... Maybe shipping blocks still in place and didn't get removed? But surely they can see that when u took it in... So I dunno I'm at a lost.

The shipping spacers are removed. I think you have a good point with the rack. If the rack were lose I think I would have this problem

Sway bar end links are also a common BMW issue. The dealer should take care of the issue with no questions asked.
