2009 E60 | 6FL ipod and usb adapter option | Which BMW Y cable?
Hey guys, so my car ( 2009 BMW E60 M5 with ccc navi and cic controller) never came with a Y cable from BMW, even though my car has the 6FL or ipod and usb adapter option for 400 bucks. USB and Aux connection in the arm rest.
I was looking online, and the cable that is for 6FL says has been discontinued and now this is the only P/N bmw is selling for Y cables: 61122338491
But it doesnt say it works for 6FL, it doesnt give any info on the cable and if it will work with CCC 6FL and if i would be able to control my iphone through my idrive with this cable.
Anyone have any idea if this new y-cable (61122338491) will work on the E60's with 6FL usb/ipod adapter option and will be able to control the ipod through the idrive?

My Ride: 04 545i sport, stick, L7, sat, nav. Charcoal/ runflat/ cdv delete.
Suede headliner/ trunk, 3 way front speakers, four 8" subs in rear shelf, ACM, iPod dock in ash tray using gateway 500 with MP3 text and video on screen, MRTM aluminum pedals/ door pins, 10 farad cap, sound processor, line conditioner, 2 amps ( 4x100 and 2x200)
I have upgraded a few of those cables to the new style 491, yes it works with 6FL.

My Ride: 2008 Metallic Green 535i,Dakota Brown leather,NAV,HD Radio, Comfort Access,Sport pkg,Premium Pkg,Cold Weather pkg,Logic7,Park Distance, SAT/Paddles, Ipod adapter, tint, LED Side markers, & halos, heated fronts,CPO'd car, tinted tails, heads, reflectors, backup camera, afe cold air intake, led license plate lights, rear lip spoiler, recoded modules: remote folding of mirrors, deleted accept screen on idrive, auto unlocking of door when ignition turned off, closing windows, & sunroof w/ remote, digital speedo on instrument cluster.
This is the one I purchased. Mine didn't come with one either :
