They start using the new one this year allready. So they don't need to have two different ones. All get the same.
Much easier for them.
The buttons will work, so the new MY gets a little improvement.
But not the new iDrive software.

, and now of course 100 GB hard drives are common. Think about the old iDrive as a floppy drive, and you'll get the picture. I still think there is a good chance that the e60 (and X5) will come out mid model year 2009 with the new iDrive. If that happens, anybody knowledgable about computers and cars who buys a new e60 now will be kicking themselves big time !
