2008 SAT Jerk when coming to stop

My Ride: 2008 550i sport SAT
2012 535i Xdrive msport
2007 550i Sport w/SMG (gone)
2000 528i (gone)
1991 535i (gone)
A while back there was a discussion on how the 08 SAT in the 550 jerked when coming to a complete stop. I am just wondering if anyone has found a solution from the dealer or anywhere else. I am sure that i wasn't the only one with the problem. I have not had a chance to take it to the dealer. Thanks ...

I don't have that problem but then again, I drive mine like an SMG all the time so I'm always downshifting manually all the way to a stop (with sport mode enabled.)

I'm not having this problem either. Are other folks having this issue?

I have found if I modulate the brakes just right as I come to a stop I can feel it less. I can't tell exactly how I do it to make it smoother.

One solution i've found is to manually downshift to 1st while slowing down just as the tach drops below 1k in 2nd. This ensures a smoother downshift than if the car does it automatically, allowing for a smoother stop.

I have this minor annoyance and Rudy, I think I noticed it on your car too (in normal mode) when you were kind enough to let me drive it. I also had it even worse with the '05 545 I had. If anyone has been successful in having the deal address it I will bring it in. Otherwise, I will adopt the patch, and use manual mode.

thanks to all of your responses. It sound like that it doesn't happen with all SAT, only some. I will take it to dealer and see what they can find, in the mean time i will try down shifting manually when coming to a stop.
