Default 2008 LCI tail light question

Hi,

Couldn't find anything in the search. I have an Australian delivered 2008 530i LCI M sport. It comes with front and rear fog lights. Anyway, I noticed today when at night in park mode while the car is running with the lights in auto mode, the passenger tail light fog lamp is slightly lit. When I pressed the fog light button, the rear fogs come on as it should. No dash errors recorded. Is this normal? Picture as attached

Check your cables, probably there is a problem. There is a recall for these lights where the connector is melting; this could be happening with yours.

ill check the cables running to the lights. No errors recorded on the dash so if a light was faulty it would have been picked up.

No, it's acting normal. It's suppose to be running at 5v when in parking mode or when low beams are on.

the intensity of the bulb on the passenger side (left) is more than the driver's side as shown in the attached picture in the 1st post. Is this normal or should they be equal intensity. Im talking about the normal fog bulb.

Ohh, sorry, didn't actually look at the picture originally. Is this always happening, where the left is on, and right is off?

i only noticed it last night. Today I took the harness off and indeed it has been burnt from the earth issue for the LCI cars. I will contact my dealer tomorrow.
