Default 2008 LCI quad projectors

I noticed my car has projectors on the inside. My vin is CU37266.
I have not seen this on any other setup from the factory with my own eyes yet. Is this the bi-xenon option that comes with projector HID on the inside?

These are the normal non-Dynamic Bi-Xenon headlamps. The inner projectors only contain the Bulb for the Angel-eyes. Thats why they are black. So except the ring nothing lights up on the inner bulb.
High and low beam is done by the xenon bulb in the outer 2 projectors.

I have these retrofitted on my pre-LCI.

The inner bulbs do light up when turning, they are the cornering lamps. On my 2008, its either with steering wheel turn or turn signal.

No they don't on the ones in the picture. You are mixing up de Dynamic Bi-Xenons with the normal ones. On the picture are the normal Bi-Xenon ones.
The Dynamic inner ones don't look like projector types either.

No, this is incorrect. It is only cornering light on the LCI bixenon adaptive. Non-adaptive basically just has a cover.

As I said before, the AE lamp H8 lamp is in there. It sits in the middle of the lamp just like a normal lamp. As the middle piece is blank only the sides (which are the angle eyes) light up.
So if you make the middle part transparant you have no AE anymore.

Maybe just maybe you could replace the part by the conerning lamp of the dynamic headlight. Havn't seen one open yet so wonder how this is made.

Best you take a look in your lamp then it will be clear for you quickly.

and there is a gap that lights up the outer ring as well? I noticed the inner ring is well lit and the outer ring is only half of that intensity.

It's because of how it's designed. The smaller ring is immediately lit up by the bulb behind it, whereas the larger ring has to travel through two different optics to light up the entire large ring.
