Hey Nolan,
Which car wash on Ventura do you use. I went to the one next to Versailles last week, I may go there again tomorrow.

The one next to Versailles is the one I goto. They are really good and have excellent prices. I usually get thier pre-paid card which save you over 30% on reg prices. Also I get my car clayed every 3months and they hook it up. Talk to Martin there, he's a really cool guy.

When I first saw the photos of the 550i sport wheels, I thought UGH. But I had my first sighting of a new 550i last week (space gray/black int.) and the wheels were stunning! The whole car was stunning, but the wheels looked unique and very expensive. Don't judge them till you see them in person.

thx for the info Hormazd. Congrats on the order as well. I like the 172s and think they're even better in person as well.

My 08 550i Sport should be arriving anytime soon now - at VPC.
I just saw an 08 550i Sport on the road on the way to work today and those rims look awesome. Sporty yet classy and a nice change from the previous 545 / 550i OEM Sport Rims.

The more pics I see the more they grow on me. Definately better looking on lighter cars. By the time my car get here, I might be sold.

I decided to stick with the 172s. The style has grown on me. I also figure that the tires and wheels are part of the supension geometry that BMW designed for the 550SP. I noticed today that although the 166s are also 19" the tires on the M5 are 255/40R Front and 285/35R back. On the 172s they are 245/35R Front and 275/30R back. Why the extra rubber on the Emmee??
I don't know but I will stick with the factory specs at first.
