Hey Nolan,

Which car wash on Ventura do you use. I went to the one next to Versailles last week, I may go there again tomorrow.
That's the one. I am a regular there. I hadn't been in about 2 weeks because I got the car serviced and got a wash from the dealership. The two brothers that run the place.. I was shocked to find that one of them was killed a couple of weeks ago. Really nice guy who would always take care of my rims (bmw brake dust) without me asking. Life is short and with things like this we just don't control our destiny.

I took my car there again yesterday and noticed his picture next to the cash register. How was he killed?

The M-Kit is art. But what's with those wheels?? Far too bling for me. They look like after market PEP Boys hub caps. Help!!!
I agree on the wheels. Im ordering the 166's. Best 19's for the E 60.

The main two things I dislike about the LCI.... The wheels and the orange reflectors mounted over the front wheel well.

Everything else makes me wish i had waited for the 08.

I too am not a fan of the #172. I dont like them at all. Sure the 19" fits the wheel well more but I just dont like the kink bend...

That is exactly what I meant above when I said that small details make a huge difference. Saying that all double spoke wheels (including the MB ones in that picture) look like the 172's makes just as much sense to me as those people who used to say that the E60's front design was copied from a Pontiac. Yes there are elements of the E60's design that looks like certain Pontiacs and when you see a Pontiac on the road you may think it is an E60 for a fraction of a second until you notice the details. Those MB wheels look like the 172's at first glance but they are very different. The shape of the spokes on the MB wheels is much more similar to the old M3 wheels (which I don't like) than the 172's.

Details do matter.

Interesting Eric......the "kink bend" in combination with the flat/flush spokes is what makes the 172's look so nice to me. Without it the shape of the spokes would look just like the M3 wheels or the E-Class wheels.......in other words just like most other double spoke wheels which I don't like.

Me too, any one with any luck trading the 172 wheels back to the dealer in exchange for 166s in a lease situation?

When I first saw the photos of the 550i sport wheels, I thought UGH. But I had my first sighting of a new 550i last week (space gray/black int.) and the wheels were stunning! The whole car was stunning, but the wheels looked unique and very expensive. Don't judge them till you see them in person.
