2008 550i jammed trunk

its not that thick. thats assuming there is no metal backing behind the seat. then lets say you can reach in. what would you do? you couldnt reach the latch. and you'd have to tear out the carpet from the lid also.

i'd have someone keep pressure on the key, while pushing in and out on the lid by the latch and maybe pushing down hard on the lid.

Very true, I will try that if that doesn't work I will just take it to a bmw auto shop, really don't want to have to replace a trunk lid

Finally got it, I had to unlatch the two hooks by the lower part of the seat near the door to lift up the back seat

The lower part of the back seat lifts off easily - are you referring to the backrest part of the seat? Pictures would be handy!

Yeah, the problem is the key, the wire isn't connected for the key to work so I jump started the car, I still had one cable attached to the battery, and I was able to open the hood with the remote and the button on the inside, thanks for the suggestions everyone
