is this a hard job on these motors? anyone have a DYI? friend at work hers went on car and was wondering if something i can do, i'm a decent wrench so just wondering....if i can do spark plugs on my 550i might be able to handle this lol

 

Its a easy job, but that said those hoses are stuck on. There is barley any room to wiggle the hoses off, it took me about 2 hours taking of the hoses. That being said, would i pay the extra 200$ (from indy) to get it done next time... YES. Definitely not a job id do again, but its easy if you have the time or indy is asking too much.

My 2 cents. Unless a VERY good friend, not worth it. Too big of a job. Too much time, sweat, dirt, risk. Things can also go wrong with the job. Additionally, anything that goes wrong within the next month will be "your fault" even if it isn't related.
