We had our car since 6/2007. When do you know when its time to change your battery?

I knew it was time for me when even after long drives I could not run the car in accessory mode for more that 2 minutes w/o it needing a jump start.

Quick and easy battery test - All you need is a voltmeter. Open hood, open cover on positive terminal, set voltmeter to read DC volts (lowest range above 12v), measure voltage with ignition off, should be 12v +/- 0.1v, turn ignition on but do not start, should see little or no drop in battery voltage, turn lights on (do not start), battery should not drop below 11v for several minutes or much longer if good, if bad it will drop quickly below 11v (within 10 to 20 seconds)and continue to drop.
