I’ve had my 535 for about 2 1/2 years now. About a year in I started getting these slight shakes I get them either when I’m holding a speed over 45 or when I’m at a red light it’ll shake and then go away then come back, I brought it to my local shop and I was told it was a vanos issue I had them replaced. But the code came back then I got the whole camshaft timing unit replaced, still the same shakes. After that kinda gave up on throwing money into finding the problem and I just drove the car with the shaking. Now I’m getting these codes 2AAF fuel pump plausibility and 2A2D fuel low, pressure system, fuel pressure. At this point I don’t know if I should have my low pressure fuel pump changed or high pressure or both?

Shakes are generally indicative of something going on with the suspension system, your rims or motor mounts. Depending on your mileage and previous replacement, I would look at:
  • shocks/springs
  • motor mounts
  • alignment
  • ball joints
  • bent/cracked rims
  • rim hub bore (if not OEM wheels)

Here’s the thing. It’s not a suspension issue. It happens at idle as well while I’m at a light. And while I’m holding a speed of 45+ it’s like waves of shakes that I can feel in my chair. I’ve had suspension work done and also looked at everything is fine there.

Not sure how an intermittent coil would act...but it would probably cause a "shaking" sensation when it wasn't firing...or a completely "failing engine" sensation...not sure which. Or possibly a plug issue?
