If you have active sway, see somebody who can run it through the self-test. They'll be able to pinpoint noises without even driving it if it's anything to do with the sways.

I had a similar clunking noise that was driving me nuts. I check all the usual suspects, suspension arms, struts and anti-sway bar. It turns out it was the strut tower brace. None of the braces were loose when I shook them but as I tightened each bolt, one was loose. Phew! There are 4 bolts total. There is actually a TSB on this.
