Thanks for the info. I'm also in Eastern PA, So it looks like anywhere between 700 to 1500 over invoice should be the ticket.
So I guess the dealers are quite accomdating if they don't have something you want? Also, How long did you wait for your car?

Thanks in advance.
I ordered in early March, it went into production two weeks later, and it was delivered this past Monday.

Help

I'm considering the 528xi Sport Pkg, Premium Pkg, Xenon Headlights and IPOD & USB adapter. No need for Navigation.

Hope someone is willing to share there experiences?

Would like to know how long it would take to get?

Wondering what everyone else is paying?

Thanks,

Disco672

I got my 528xi last sat/ Love it.
Sport pkg. is good. includes comfort seats-awesome, Steering wheel different shape with metal- better feeling.
Premium pkg: leather, power folding mirrors, ambient lights. love them
Xenon lights : love the cornering feature. I-pod : have not used yet, read people love it.
Comfort access: bought E60 for this feature the most I like(otherwise going for X3), : No need to take out keys, no scratches on car?, will be a nice feature in winter and with hands full, for women with purse in hand-no need to dig for the key.
U should go for Sport pkg, Comfort access- atleast
GOOD LUCK

+1 on the comfort seats--amazing. Ipod works beautifully--very user friendly although sometimes some excess scrolling involved. Love the fact that whole words appear on the screen--full titles, names, etc., and the ipod and wires are all completely out of site at all times, even when using the center console. Great feature.

I'm happy to say they have been "amazing" all along.

I just ordered a U.S. Spec 2008 528i, titanium silver, sport, premium pkg, xenon light, pdc , hud, ipod/usb adapter, nav, comfort access. It goes into production first week of May. The only thing that annoys me is the reflectors on the wheel well. Does anyone have any idea where I can get replacements painted the color of the car? Also should I go with dark or light poplar to contrast the natural brown interior.

Congrats! I have my choices narrowed down to a Lexus GS350 and the 528xi. Whoever gives me the better deal and least wait will probably win. I do prefer the 5 though.

How long did they say it would take to get your 528?

What was your ballpark over invoice? I've been seeing 700 to 1500 over inv.

I'm in the military stationed in Germany so we really get a break. Don't have worry about sales tax and such. I paid $40,000 for the vehicle. Hey do you have any information about getting rid of the reflectors on the wheel wells? Thanks.

Having been delivered my '08 last week, I can tell you that the reflectors are a non-issue. They are so thin, and based on their location, I never notice them. My neighbor and I walked around the car 4 times, and when I mentioned them, he had no idea what I was talking about--he never even saw them. My car is white, and I never see them--I can't imagine how easily they will blend with silver. Besides, and this is the real kick in the ass, I LIKE them. They distinguish my car from the pre-'08 (as there are very few ways to do so at quick glance), they have almost a sporty look to them, and they keep with the new tradition of BMW styling. Don't fear the reflectors---enjoy them!

As for interior, I have black leather and dark wood. I love it and have gotten many compliments on the wood color without asking. The dark is a very rich looking color on dark leather.

Enjoy!

I drove the GS350 and did a bit of negotiating. Loved the interior of it--class act through and through. Hated the handling--I felt like I was cornering in my grandfather's 82 Oldsmobile. Ipod is a huge factor too--I don't know if Lexus even has one, and if so I doubt it can compare to how well BMW integrated it. The Lexus is a Toyota, and there's no way around that fact. It's engineered as a Toyota, it shares parts with Toyota, it is 'tinny' like a Toyota, and it handles like a Toyota. My wife has a Lexus and we love it--it's beautiful, dependable, and has some lux to it--but, and she 100% agrees, it's not a BMW. The best way for me to describe it, is that the Lexus had no soul. All BMWs have a soul. Sounds queer and all, but there is an intangible factor within the car that Infiniti, Lexus and Acura just can't duplicate. Don't base your decision purely on money.

bmw093, I guess you're right it is really a non-issue. I can't wait for delivery. What pkg's do you have with yours? If possible post some pics.

Thanks
