has anyone experienced ticking noise from the new engine design in the 2008 528i model. if so how was it fixed?? thanks

It is a known problem. Take it to the dealer and they will change out the exhaust side valve lifters with a redesigned lifter. If it recurs after this, they give you a new cylinder head.

Exactly, I had the same situation and I took it in under warranty and they repaired it, just 3 weeks ago.
