Has anyone tried to order aluminum interior trim (Order Code 737) in place of wood? My dealer tells me it's available but I don't see it on the standard marketing material and hence am a little suspect.

I also wanted aluminum but my dealer said was unavailable for my 2008. The only thing I dislike about my car is the wood trim.

In Europe, brushed aluminium is standard on all M-sport cars, save the 550i in Sweden (at least), and can be ordered separately in you don't want the M-package. Again, BMW seems to change a lot when the cars go to the US...
