Thumbs up

Dear Forum:

...Both M steering wheels look very similar, (Black in color, M Steering Wheel Size, Thickness in diameter, Thumb bumps, Trim, etc.), but is the 2007 e60 M5 round airbag different in appearance of a 2004? (SEE 2004 E60 BMW NA SPORT ROUND AIRBAG DRAWING, ((ITEM #10)), AND 2007 E60 M5 ROUND AIR BAG PICTURE BELOW)

I need your thoughts e60 forum, and Thanks in advance!!

Just curious... What havent you replicated yet? Is the steering wheel your next item? Did you do the center console shifter? Brakes?

With low mileage 2006 M5's available for around $45-50K, you might be better off buying the real thing... Replicating the exterior and interrior is going to be expensive, and no matter what you do, it wont perform like an M5.

they look identical, the difference is the connectors on the back. see my .sig, that's the airbag I've put in.

Eddie,
Please look here.

Pre-09/05 and post-09/05 steering/airbag cannot be mixed due to different steering wheel notch in the back and airbag mounting.

that is correct, but you can get the same wheel and airbag in pre-09/05 compatible versions. I have a 10/04 build and I didn't have to modify anything.
