i am new here and just want some help making my decision if i should buy this 2007 BMW 550i. the current owner has told me that every conceivable maintenance on this car has been done since day one at the dealership (waiting on confirmation from dealer) the catch is the car has 91,350 miles on it. the car is loaded with features and the asking price is $20K. Any info would help me out.

I purchased mine in 12/09 for $29k. It had half the miles and factory warranty and maintenance. 2007 550i as well. Hope this helps.

check the maintenance record from the dealer. you can ask them to print out the whole story. some of the things to look for are

1. repairs for oil leaks in various parts (head, upper/lower timing case, vacuum, water pump seals, etc)
2. control arm bushings in the suspension. with 92k miles, you are probably looking at replacing all the struts soon if the current owner hasn't done so already. I changed mine at 68K.
3. last oil change, brake pads, rotors and brake flush.

above are the most costly things I can think of unless the 550i has an SMG tranny like mine then you will need to look at that too. Good luck.
