Hello,

I'm searching for a '07 550i with sports package. I found one with the package/options I want and got the price down to $33,500. I wanted to get some feedback if you guys think this is a fair or good price. Here are some details on the car.

You should run the VIN and look into the service history and carfax before making a final decision.

I'd get an 08', I've always been weary about purchasing a car that doesn't have a warranty still on it. Unless it has the extended warranty, your choice though.

What is the original in-service date??? This is key if it is not CPO.

I paid $30.5K a couple months ago for mine... CPO w/ 48K miles on it.

That seems like a reasonable deal. The 550's are hard to find. I paid $33K for mine (same options/mileage as yours) 6 weeks ago. BMW Financial Services had a deal to include the maintenance to 100K at that time also - check the website.

I bought an '07 550i with SMG, Sports Package, Comfort access, comfort seats, cold weather, Nav, PDC, Active Steering, ARC and HUD for $28k in late january. Exactly 50k miles. No warranty.....I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Absolutely love the car but yeah, I worry that some expensive is going to crop up down the road but I don't lose sleep over it. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Do I think you're paying too much? Maybe, but not by much. If you're comfortable with the number then I think the value vs. cost is spot on.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I forgot to mention the car is certified. The carfax looks clean and the service history only has 3 items.

The in-service date is 12/9/06 so the warranty expires this December with the CPO lasting till 12/12.

As for looking into '08, those will out of my price range right now.
