What do you guys think of this?

34k miles, one owner, CPO, $41.5

All options, Sport, CWP, Prem Sound, Ventilated Seats, HUD, nightvision, navigation, rear sunshade...

I assume that price is before tax/license. I just bought non-CPO, 25k miles, decently optioned (Sport, L7, Nav, Comfort Access, Sat Radio) for $36.5k.

I know dealer auction prices for an 07 550i with that many miles is around $33k, so that is what the dealer paid for it. It costs the dealer another $2k or so to CPO it. I think you might be able to bring the dealer down to high 30s.

I do not believe the dealer will seel it for wholesale plus CPO. Where is the profit? My guess is it will go for $37-$39K depending on dealer's motivation and time of month.
good luck

Thumbs up

Have you checked out the equipment/year/model/mileage/location vs. current used pricing at kbb.com?

Sounds reasonable to me. I'm sure you could get it down to 38-39k!

+1 I think there is definitely room to negotiate in that price.

With that mileage/options, I'd wager that the dealer paid around $33-34K tops. If you're serious and have to have this particular car, head in there with a checkbook and tell them that you're ready to offer $36 or 37K. Shoot, with the way so many people are heading to Toyota Prius' these days, they'd have to give your offer a serious consideration!

Good hunting!

Prices there never fail to amaze me ....

Germany is just over the road and yet we pay through the nose.
Check out this site for a typical car, it's a 06 bmw with 37k miles.
Nothing special and where you are saying 40k dollars, they are looking for 60k euro.
Using todays rate it amounts to a 06 530i (never mind a bigger car) with nearly 40k miles selling for 88,000 dollars US.

It's no wonder that everyone here drives a 1.3 or something. Even my own car which is 4 years old and 90k miles was around 40k dollars.

Lucky ye.
