I've been searching here, but I can't seem to find a list of all changes that the 2008 550i has over the 2007 550i. Can someone kindly point me to one? I have an 05 530i and am looking to go to a 550i. Can order a new 2008 or get a loaded 2007 for cheaper perhaps. Depends on what the changes are. I can see the obvious facial changes and the 19" rims, but other than that?

2008 550i Sport has a much improved transmission (two, actually - get the Sport Automatic), tighter suspension, and a better sounding exhaust. Get the '08.

This would be a 6spd manual - are you talking about the auto tranny as the one much improved? I assume so. So I assume the 6spd will be the same. I drove a fully loaded 2007 550i with 6k miles on it for 58k asking price. That's a 10k difference, so I want to see if the 2008 550i has 10k wroth of features or not.

Also, the power in each gear was amazing, but the ride felt a bit plush though it handled quite well indeed. Quite smooth.

For 2007 model? I can't find that. I can build an 08 and price that, but I want to see what the 07 had.

2007 models no longer command full price as you found out when you drove one.

All you have to do is compare a 2007 asking price and features with the 2008 prices and features on the website. Then decide if it's "worth it".

Correct, except I don't know all the changes/differences in the 2008 model. They may both have the sport pkg for instance, but how will I know the exact differences. Same with premium ,etc. I.e. - what am I missing that is not obvious from the paper that lists the 2007 options. This is why I wanted to see a list.

I believe IPod is also fully integrated in the 2008s which is really neat.

I think the interior is much improved. But if you want to split the cost difference, get a 535i with M Sport package. Almost as fast as the 550 and the car magazines say it handles better - "rendering the 550 obsolete". Of course we are all free to make up our own minds.
