My Ride: 2007 Titanium Gray 550i, with sport, nav, HUD, Logic7, sat radio, cold weather, rear side airbags, rear seat heaters, and it goes like a bat outta hell!
So.....my 550 hits the port on Tuesday, I figure I won't see her until next week....but she shows up at my dealer's lot late Thursday. I take delivery Friday morning, and I'm off to Carmel, CA (running the Big Sur Marathon!) for the weekend....about a 3 hour drive north of me. First off let me say.....damn this is one sweet car. The engine just purrs....smooth as silk....and yes, I'm being gentle during my break-in period. I love the active steering. It's a little new to have the wheel turn completely over while stopped, but I don't feel any loss of control over the car at speed....very tight. I love the sport package....I took some tight turns and the car just runs flat....amazing. HUD........what a great feature, especially with the NAV. Thanks to everyone who recommended the HUD.....truly worth the expense, in my mind. Now, I was a bit worried about the runflats, but you know.......they are fine. I don't notice any excessive road noise, the car feels snug on the road. My tires are Bridgestones, so maybe they are not as bad as the Dunlops. I never drove on the Dunlops, so I can't compare......
OK......when I get back home I'll take some pictures to post. Of course, the car is just gorgeous.....and I can't stop grinning

Congrats on the new ride! What a great way to drive home from picking up the car. The Big Sur run from Monterey to Morro Bay is one of the most scenic and fun drives around. Have fun!
