I would refuse the car and get a new one.
I don't know where you stand but surely at under 200 miles you must have the right to refuse it?

I'd ask for a loaner at least if you didn't get one. 10 days is a long time wihtout your new bmw.
This kind of story really makes me worried.
Never heard so many problems although minor on a brand new car.

I hope everyone had a great July 4th holiday (at least the US members here). Quick update - heard from the dealer that part was arriving from Germany today. Should have the car back shortly.
Another Update - did not hear from dealer this week and still no car!
exaudis, I have no idea what state you're in, but if you're from California, this state doesn't allow what is called a Cooling-Off Period which is one of the many forms signed when taking delivery. At least, that's how it was when I took delivery of my 550i. Simply put, if you drive off in a new car, you can't just 'change your mind for whatever reason' (decided you want another car, car had an early part failure, wasn't the color you really wanted, fuel consumption wasn't to your liking, etc.) just to return the car to get your money back.

You might be low on freon/coolant, but also look at your Vent settings. They may be set to blow warm air on the face. This overides the auto settings.
FINALLY!!! After nearly a month without my BRAND NEW 530i I received the car back from the dealer. The steering rack was replaced and the 10 miles I drove last night seemed fine. They were unable to replicate the A/C so I will only know in the next weeks how that will work out. My guess is that the coil froze - but still seems odd. Everything was fine with it last night.
I was definitely bummed that the dealer didn't even have the courtesy to wash the car after having it for 4 weeks! I thought it would have been fully reprepped, but .... It wasn't filthy, but wasn't clean either. Overall, my experience has been below the norm I would hope - but I'm sure the frustration will fade as I drive the car. I appreciate the feedback everyone. Let the ultimate driving begin (again)!

I had the same problem. E60 seems to have a problem with AC compressor fan belt. Have them check it.
