2006 Sport Seat

The Thigh support in my 2006 passenger sport seat has a malfunction. Can hear the actuator motor run when the switch is engaged (so assuming motor is OK), but it does not extend or retract the thigh support. I can move it freely by hand, so I'm assuming a disconnect from motor. Any DIY fix recommended or is this a dealer fix (out of warranty
)? Help!

I had the same problem in my 2007. Took it to the dealer and they had to replace the seat frame. Luckily I have the CPO warranty so it was all good ![Twoup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/twoup.gif)
Not sure how expensive it will be to fix out of warranty, good luck though.

Exact same problem with both of my seats... seems like most of the people replaced their actuator (about 200 bucks for the part), however; the problem is only with one gear that is not sold separately
.
