My Ride: 2005 545, nav, sport, PP, cold weather

havind just completed 6000 miles with the bmw nav and the older garmin III system, the bmw system is just not worth spending any money on. spend you money on a good after market system.

I agree totally. I am disappointed in the $1800 Nav system. My Garmin Streetpilot (which can be had for $600) was way more powerful in terms of functionality. The fact that you can't filter points of interest in the BMW Nav is unbeliveable.

I have to say I'm a little disapointed. The Carin MkII (4:3) NAV in my E39 and (16:9) version in our E53 would tell you what side of the street the destination was on. My new 2007 won't.
